BBA student enters final round of Hong Kong Outstanding Business Students Award 2014

The Hong Kong Outstanding Business Students Award 2014 (HKOBSA 2014), organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Business Society (HKFBS), was held at the Jockey Club Auditorium, Open University of Hong Kong, on 5th July. After successfully completing the first round interview session, CityU’s representative Carol Huang Mei-yu, a BBA China Business Year 2 student, entered the final round of the Youth Business Elite Forum with eight other contestants.

The 2014 Award was titled sponsored by Hong Kong Airlines with the slogan “Stand Out to Mark the Prominence.” This is an annual competition held for business undergraduates from the nine local universities, which also serves as a platform for business students to exchange their thoughts and showcase their critical thinking skills.

About the HKOBSA 2014

The Hong Kong Outstanding Business Students Award is a showcase for emerging business undergraduates from the nine local universities. HKOBSA 2014 marks a new epoch in academia, providing a brand new platform for business undergraduates to showcase their abilities and to foster the exchange of business ideas among participants.

The competition has two assessment stages: the Interview Session and the Youth Business Elites Forum. Participants’ performances are assessed by the Evaluation Assessment panel and the winner receives HK$5,000 prize in cash and an internship opportunity offered by the Federation.
