Establishment of the China Business and Economic Development Research Centre

The College is delighted to announce the establishment of a new college research centre, the China Business and Economic Development Research Centre (CBRC).

Prof William Yang Hai-bin has been appointed Director of the Centre for three years until June 2017.

The centre was formed under a framework agreement and strategic alliance with Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited (GPHL) in December 2013. It aims to conduct research in regional economic development, financial policy studies, and business model innovations. Additionally with the funding support granted by the Interdisciplinary Opportunity Fund and the College of Business matching fund, CBRC will provide a supporting platform for conducting high-impact interdisciplinary research on China-related business and economic development.

The College is also committed to provide comprehensive support to the Centre to ensure a fruitful and promising development as well as valuable outputs in various state-of-art studies on China research.
