Third open lecture@Shenzhen



The College of Business’ Centre for Advanced Business Research and Executive Education (Shenzhen) held its third open lecture of the Intelligence Gathering Programme at the CityU Shenzhen Research Institute on 26th July.

The lecture, entitled 2014 Forum on Finance and Capital Management of China Cities, was jointly organized by the College of Business and Shenzhen Qin and Qin Investment Center (深圳親和親投資中心).


As a key event in the Intelligence Gathering Programme, the forum attracted more than 100 participants from various industries. Prof Ziguang Chen, Director of the Centre for Advanced Business Research and Executive Education (Shenzhen), delivered an opening speech expressing his gratitude to the guests.

The open forum was divided into four modules and lasted for one day.  Mr Zhenhua Mao, Chairman of China Cheng Xin International Credit Rating Co. Ltd. (CCXI) and Mr Guoyou Zhou, Director of Department of IPO Promotion, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, led the discussions in the first module Macro-economic and Asset Securitization. They shared their insights on China’s macro economy and multi-level capital market. Various executive managers from the securities industry also participated and exchanged viewpoints in the discussion period.

The second module Capital Investment was conducted by fund market experts. Mr Yuming Dou, Managing Director of Zhong Ou Asset Management Co., Ltd. and Mr Junfeng Wang, General Manager of Citic-Prudential Fund Management Co., Ltd. They discussed the operation mechanism and risks in public fund-raising market and secondary market investment.

The third module Family Trusts and fourth module New Urbanization were delivered by various entrepreneurs from the asset management, capital investment, agricultural development, real estate management, and healthcare sectors.

Dr Grey Gao, Director of Meditech Investment Hongkong Limited, concluded the forum with closing remarks.
