CB executive training programme for Dongguan SME Bureau

The College of Business and Dongguan Small & Medium Enterprises (SME) Bureau 東莞中小企業局 co-organized a 2-day training programme on Share Incentive Mechanism 股權激勵機制 at CityU from 28th to 29th August.

Over 60 experienced professionals from small and medium size enterprises in Dongguan joined the programme. Associate Dean of the College of Business Prof Wenyu Dou, Secretary of Dongguan SME Bureau Ms Yi Huang 黃怡女士, and Secretary of Dongguan Economy & Information Technology Bureau Secretary Mr Baohua Ye 葉葆華先生 opened the event with welcoming speeches.

Mr Ye especially praised the attending entrepreneurs for their positive attitude towards continuous learning and commented on the acceleration of Dongguan’s private sector which encouraged many entrepreneurs to pursue more ambitious goals.

Following the opening speeches, Board Chairman of Cosmo Lady 廣東都市麗人實業有限公司 Mr Yaonan Zheng shared his experience on restructuring corporate equity and his expectations for the training programme.

  Dr Wu, an expert in share incentive mechanisms, introduced the basic concept, its importance to corporations, and explained the technics of sectional positioning in the long-term for corporations and design mechanism of equity scheme.

  《股权激励的核心价值与中小企股权激励误区》
  Prof Ma gave an in-depth analysis of ten different modes of share incentive mechanism, how each mode operates, what its benefits and drawbacks are, and when to apply these modes. He also explained misunderstandings commonly held by SMEs when applying the Share Incentive Mechanism.

• Mr Chan-wing Li, Founding Director of Li C W Consulting Ltd.
  李燦榮先生, 李燦榮顧問有限公司創辦人及董事
  Mr Li is an EMBA alumnus of the 2003 cohort and a current DBA student at CityU. He discussed tactics for developing SME professional managers, integration of Western management theories and Chinese culture such as The Art of War in corporations, and ways to increase competitiveness in the market.

After two days of intensive training, participants expressed their understanding of the Share Incentive Mechanism’s fundamental concept, importance, and implementation.
