CB welcomes new students

The College of Business organised various seminars and activities for new students prior to the start of the new academic year.

The College organised an orientation seminar, welcoming reception, and individual group mentoring sessions specifically for the College’s new intake, in addition to the University’s Welcoming Ceremony for all new undergraduate, associate degree, senior-year intake, and taught postgraduate programme students, both events taking place at Chan Tai Ho Multi-purpose Hall on 28th August.

Students were introduced to the College background, individual departmental information, academic programme selections, and available support services offered to students. The event was supported by the College of Business Leadership Club 2014 (CBLC) and the six academic departments.

Prof Houmin Yan, Dean of the College, greeted the students with a warm welcoming speech and the Management team, teaching faculty, and administrative staff of the College took the chance to meet the new students.

Departmental orientation seminars for taught postgraduate programmes were also held by respective departments during the last week of August. Students were given chances to meet their classmates and professors, as well as to get information about programme requirements, structures, and arrangements.
