About One Belt, One Road

This is a new development framework and strategy introduced by the central government of PRC in 2013 that focuses on connectivity and cooperation among countries primarily in Eurasia. It consists of two main components: a land-based Silk Road Economic Belt and an oceangoing Maritime Silk Road. These also serve as economic co-operation corridors, spanning regions in Asia, Europe and Africa, and are aimed at promoting co-development between countries and fostering co-operation in political, economic, and social spheres.
