The MBA Residential Trip (R-Trip) 2015 was successfully held from 21th to 30th June in Shanghai, China. The trip was organised by the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme of the College as one of its core courses.

A group of 27 students consisting of 22 CityU MBA students and five Indiana University students, led by Prof Kevin Chiang, Programme Director of MBA, completed a 10-day challenge in the host company Chuangshi Group.

Together with four supervisors, Dr Ron Kwok, Assistant Dean of CB and Associate Professor of the Department of Information Systems, Dr Jimmy Fang, Visiting Associate Professor of CB, Dr Stephen Shum, Associate Professor of the Department of Management Sciences, and Dr Wei Liyuan, Assistant Professor of the Department of Marketing, the students formed teams to discuss, analyse, and provide recommendations on the host company’s strategic planning, domestic and international marketing, innovation, and key performance indicators.

Through various group discussions, presentations, and case studies, the students performed a detailed industry analysis and an in-depth exploration of the company’s business operation and management.
