EMBA R-Trip to the Netherlands

The Executive Master of Business Administration (Chinese) (EMBA (Chinese)) programme organized a five-day study trip to Tilburg University in the Netherlands from 31st August to 4th September.

The College of Business and CityU has a profound academic partnership with Tilburg University and its business school, TiasNimbas Business School (TIAS), one of the top business schools in the World. Led by Prof Stephen Liao, Deputy Programme Leader, and Prof Choon-ling Sia, 40 students embarked on the journey to the Netherlands.

The trip aimed to provide insights and foster links between Chinese and European businesses. With the growth of Chinese economy and internationalization, business between Europe and the East has become more frequent and prominent than ever.

The professors of TIAS and Tilburg School of Economics and Management delivered lectures to the participants. The students gained valuable insights from topics such as business strategy, management culture, technology innovation, digital business, supply chain, corporate social responsibility, and etc. Highlights of the study trip included team workshops, group presentations, and corporate visits to leading international companies, such as KPMG, one of the largest professional services companies in audit, tax and advisory, and SAP SE, the largest enterprise software company in the world.
