College International Advisory Board meeting


The CIAB Meeting is an annual session for Board members to advise on matters relating to directions and strategies for the future development of the College. Members will help the College to gain external inputs on its internationalization drive such as identifying suitable overseas academic institutions and business corporations as strategic partners, and making policy direction recommendations for the development of international programmes of the College.

The meeting was chaired by Dr Changle Liu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Phoenix Satellite Television Company and CityU Honorary Doctor of Letters, and joined by other Board members:

  • Prof Gregory C. Chow, Class of 1913 Professor of Political Economy, Emeritus; Professor of Economics, Emeritus;  Senior Economist, Princeton University, USA
  • Mr Albert Ip, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Langham Hospitality Investment Limited 
  • Mr Rongrong Li, Chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (2003-2010); Vice Chairman of China Center for International Economic Exchanges 
  • Prof Sir James Mirrlees, Nobel Laureate, Distinguished Professor-at-Large and Master of Morningside College, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
  • Mr James Thompson, Founder and Chairman of Crown Worldwide Group
  • Prof Houmin Yan, Dean and Chair Professor of Management Sciences of the College of Business (Convenor)

Faculty members of the College Prof Wenyu DouProf William Wan and Dr Weiquan Wang also attended the meeting providing updates on the College’s development.
