New recruitment drive for EMBA Programme in mainland China



A series of public lectures and information sessions hosted by the Executive Master of Business Administration (Chinese) (EMBA (Chinese)) Programme was successfully held from October to December in China major cities, namely, Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Hangzhou. The sessions attracted nearly 400 participants, which majority of them were senior executives from different companies.

Prof Wenyu Dou, Director of the EMBA (Chinese) Programme and the Associate Dean (Graduate Programmes) of the College of Business, hoped that potential students could understand the EMBA (Chinese) programme through attending these public lectures and events, “We introduced in details the programme structure and the course curriculum, and invited students of current cohorts to share their experiences with the programme.

Faculty members who contributed in the sessions are:

  • Prof Houmin Yan, Dean of the College of Business and Chair Professor of Management Sciences of the Department of Management Sciences
  • Prof Wenyu Dou, Director of the EMBA (Chinese) Programme and Associate Dean (Graduate Programmes) of the College of Business
  • Prof Wayne Yu, Assistant Dean (Executive Education) of the College of Business, as well as Professor of the Department of Accountancy and the Department of Economics and Finance
  • Prof Leon Zhao, Chair Professor of Information Systems of the Department of Information Systems
  • Prof Shaoyi Liao, Associate Director of the EMBA (Chinese) Programme and Professor of the Department of Information Systems
  • Prof Ziguang Chen, Professor of the Department of Management


The next information session will be held at Haikou on 19th December. A lecture on Marketing Innovation in the “Internet Plus” Era will be given by Prof Dou, followed by the introduction of the programme. For event details and registration, please click here.

The EMBA (Chinese) builds upon the College's 18-year experience of delivering the EMBA in English. It adopts innovative teaching methodologies and integrates new elements into its curriculum with key focuses on Global outlook, Fresh ways of looking at issues and problems, and approaches infused with Inspiration.
