Six MBA students participated in the Operation Santa Claus (OSC) MBA Challenge 2015, representing the City University of Hong Kong to compete with other MBA teams in Hong Kong. The competing teams were given the task of writing a business plan to secure donations for the people in need, and then implementing the plan over one and a half months. The CityU MBA Team DREAM CHANNEL excelled in the competition and won the Most Creative Business Plan Award. Congratulations!
The DREAM CHANNEL team consisted of six part-time MBA students from the 2015 cohort: Stanley Cheng (Team Leader), Andy Ching, Mon Lam, Dmitry Nogovitsyn, Terence Wong and Natalie Yuen. Students from the 2014 and 2015 cohorts also volunteered in the competition to support the team. The team has arranged several fundraising events, including the highlighting event ‘The Dream Must Go On Christmas Party’, from 12th November to 31st December 2015. They have raised a total donation of $93,867.50 for the beneficiaries, being the second highest fundraiser.
The team would like to thank for the tremendous support from over 30 sponsors, faculty members and the learning partners from the MBA, EMBA and DBA programmes. Their generous donations have made a big difference to the fundraising events.
Prof Kevin Chiang, Director of the MBA Programme, congratulated the team and said, “I am proud to see many of our students and alumni actively participated in the OSC fundraising events in the past two years. We hope that more CityU MBA alumni will come back to join our events and connect with us in the future.”
