The College of Business hosted a Media Luncheon on 8th March and attracted nearly 40 media to attend the event.
Dr Weiquan Wang, Associate Dean of the College, started the event with a welcome speech, followed by a sharing from guest speaker Mr Sam Hui, Chairman of Industrial Committee (Information Technology) of The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong. Mr Hui shared his perspectives about the rapidly changing needs in the market, and emphasized the increasing demand of talents who are familiar with China and international business environment. He further urged for a closer collaboration among the government, industry and education institutions on training up such professionals.
Mr Alex Tham, Assistant Dean of the College, introduced the College’s long-standing undergraduate programmes, including exchange and internship opportunities, and the latest establishment of the two elite programmes – BSc Computational Finance and BBA Global Business, to nurture future business leaders with high competitiveness. Mr Hon-wing Leung, Admissions Tutor & Deputy Major Leader, highlighted the programmes details.
