MBA Professional Forum - China Outlook

Mr Andrew Yao Cho-fai, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Shanghai Alliance Holdings Limited and Hong Kong Deputy to the 12th National People’s Congress of China, shared his views on the “China Outlook: Political, Economic, Environmental & Geopolitics” at the MBA Professional Forum on 22nd February.

After obtaining the MBA at Harvard University, Mr Yao decided to extend his business in infrastructure and property market to mainland China in 2002. His decision has been proven right, bringing his company to new heights. Mr Yao believed that integrating into one’s community, appreciating the culture and exploring possible opportunities are always the keys to success in doing business in China.

Mr Yau also discussed with students the China politics and economic development, and the government’s new initiative of “One Belt One Road” during the forum. He advised students to relate more to social and political issues when understanding a business problem.
