EMBA study trip to Korea

The College of Business Executive Master of Business Administration (Chinese) (EMBA (Chinese)) programme has organised a four-day study trip to Seoul, Korea from 14th-18th December. Led by Dr Yong Wang, Associate Director of EMBA (Chinese) programme, 20 learning partners from three different cohorts participated in the trip.

In addition to company visits, a mobile lecture was conducted by Prof Haibin Yang, Professor of the Department of Management and Department of Marketing, on the topic of strategic management, helping students to consolidate theoretical knowledge in different real-life organisational context.

The group was hosted by Sung Kyun Kwan University (SKKU), and a campus tour was arranged during the study trip. Prof Houmin Yan, Dean of the College, joined Prof Sangman Han, Dean of SKK Business School, Prof Hakkyun Kim, Director of Global Business Administration of SKK Business School, Prof Joseph Kim, Director, International Exchange Center of SKK Business School, and Ms Sunny Jeon, Exchange Program Manager of SKK Business School, for the closing gala dinner.

Highlights of the study trip also included visits to SAP Korea, a company that provides enterprise software and platforms to manage business operations and customer relations; and Samsung Innovation Museum, the largest industrial electronics museum in Korea, displaying the development phases of Samsung.
