One Belt One Road yields PPP opportunities


Prof Houmin Yan, Dean of the College of Business and Acting Director of Research Centre on One-Belt-one-Road at CityU, spoke on key issues of One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiatives and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), at the Phoenix TV China Forum (鳳凰衛視世紀大講堂) on 13th January. Co-organised by Phoenix TV and CityU, and supported by the CityU MBA SHARP Forum, the event attracted more than 160 audiences comprising of CityU faculty, students, alumni and the general public. The forum will be broadcast in mid-February on Phoenix TV.

In the forum, key concepts of global supply chain development, the background of OBOR initiatives, the framework of PPP implementation and its significance in leading to OBOR success, were presented. Prof Yan also highlighted that Hong Kong has much potential to play a key role in promoting trades with other OBOR countries, while leverages its well-established system in finance, legal, logistic and, retails and services.
