Accountancy student Albert Ngan wins first place in futures trading competition

Albert Ngan Sing-yeung, BBA Accountancy student, won the first place in the online futures trading competition organized by Wing Fung Financial Group. The competition aimed to provide students an opportunity to carry out futures trading simulation and enhance their financial knowledge.

Competing with over 1,600 students from local tertiary education institutions, Albert won the contest by getting the highest investment return in the simulated market. With an initial capital of HK$1 million, he has generated over HK$1 trillion assets at the end of the six-month period. Contestants could invest in the Hong Kong Futures Market, Singapore and Chicago Mercantile Exchange, with their own investment strategy.

“This competition was a valuable experience. It equipped me with better trading skills”, said Albert.
Besides winning the first place title, Albert will be given an immersion in Singapore, including a visit to the Singapore Exchange Limited, and a short training course at SGX Academy.
