The Joint Awards Presentation Ceremony 2017/18 (Semester B) hosted by the Department of Marketing has been concluded on a high note.
27 student teams from BBA Marketing, BBA China Business, BBA Marketing Information Management and MSc Marketing, offered consultancy services to 11 renowned brands and organisations in the last semester, competed for the Company Consultancy Project Awards. Their services included conducting marketing research and suggesting creative business solutions.
Mr Alex Tham, Senior Teaching Fellow of the Department of Marketing, opened the ceremony and thanked the corporate partners for their longstanding support to the department. He also encouraged students to keep a “never-give-up attitude” and learn from the success stories of others.
One of the corporate partners, Mr Jordan Cheung, Deputy General Manager, Global Marketing of Hong Kong Airlines, highly appraised the project output, “Students have demonstrated their strong analytic skill and creativity, their research findings offer good references for the company’s future marketing plan.”
Another corporate partner, Mr Wilson Wong, Head of Marketing of ESDLife, commended students for their great passion, “Through the research studies and presentation, we have gained lots of good insights and were offered recommendations which we would probably consider applying into our business.”
Launched in 1995, the Company Consultancy Project Awards aim to provide students with real-life marketing experience through collaboration with various corporations. Corporate partners attending the ceremony are listed as below:
On the same occasion, the Department also presented the Active Learner Awards to recognise students’ high level of self-learning initiative.
