CityU welcomes 30 students from Rotman Omnium Global Executive MBA, University of Toronto


The College of Business has long been cooperating with the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto as a teaching partner for theModule 2: East Asia under its Omnium Global Executive MBA programme. The module aims to deepen students’ grasp of business fundamentals in economics while providing them with unique insights on corporate governance in China. 30 students from the programme attended a five-day workshop at CityU from 26th - 30th November, which included a series of lectures, two company visits and sharing sessions by guest speakers.

Professor Douglas Hyatt and Professor David Beatty of Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto delivered lectures on Micro-Economics and Corporate Governance respectively. Different guest speakers were invited to share their professional experiences in the area of Corporate Governance, including Ms Nana Li from Asian Corporate Governance Association and Mr Geoffrey Barker from City Financial Investment Company. Apart from lectures, company visits to Ritz-Carlton and Citibank were arranged.

Their stay at CityU was concluded on a colourful note and the group then headed for India to embark on their journey of Module 3: South Asia.

About the programme
CityU has been a teaching partner in the Omnium Global Executive MBA programme since 2005. The programme provides an 18-month international learning experience which immerses working professionals in core business disciplines from a global perspective.
