CB-UC Berkeley Advanced Management Programme 2016

The College of Business has formed its partnership with the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, in 2008 to organise an annual executive programme for students and alumni of the College. This year, the CityU-UC Berkeley Advanced Management Programme was held from 18th to 22nd July, in the theme of “Innovation Management for Global Business”. A group of 46 students joined the trip.

The programme aims to offer a platform for participants to refresh management skills, and opportunities to acquire new knowledge and network with other senior executives from diversified backgrounds. The programme provided on-campus classes on various topics such as marketing strategies, business innovation and supply chain management, etc. with lectures delivered by faculty from the Haas School of Business. Programme highlights included team workshops and presentations, and corporate visits to Autodesk, a multinational software company; Airbnb, an online marketplace that allows people to list and rent vacation home; and Galvanize, a platform that pulls a community of experts, entrepreneurs and learners together for new businesses.
