My teammates and I worked very hard for this contest, and I am also grateful to receive the Best Presenter Award. Thanks to our teacher Dr Stephanie Fan, who gave us lots of guidance and training throughout the competition. It was an indulging experience for me. It boosted my confidence, in terms of public speaking and expressing my own arguments, and it gave me a deeper insight about the financial world.

Hosted by the Society of Registered Financial Planners, this award is to raise awareness of financial planning among university students, equip them with adequate knowledge for a career in the financial planning industry, provide encouragement and recognition to outstanding participants, and promote professional standards and quality in financial planning.

In the competition, participating teams were asked to submit a financial proposal and written report on one real-life financial planning case. The selected top 12 teams were then tasked with a video presentation alongside with a set of power-point slides on the written case. In the final, each team had to present arguments regarding "In creating financial plans, how and why should financial planners account for the risks and opportunities associated with the US Presidential Election of 2016?" in front of the panel of judges.
