University of Toronto’s Omnium Global Executive MBA Programme take classes at CB


The College of Business has long been collaborating with the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto for its Omnium Global Executive MBA programme. The East Asia module aims to provide students with insights on business models and operations management in China and Asia. 22 students from the programme attended a five-day workshop on 21st - 25th November, including lectures, company visits and sharing sessions by guest speakers, etc.

Prof Joe Milner and Prof David Beatty of the Rotman School of Management delivered courses on operations management and corporate governance respectively. Students were able to have an understanding about operations model and practice within an organization, and to equip skills and knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative analysis in the course. A number of guest speakers were invited to share their professional experiences in the area of corporate governance, including Mr Jamie Allen from the Asian Corporate Governance Association.

Apart from lectures, company visits to Scotia Bank and HK Stock Exchange were arranged, to conclude the East Asia module in Hong Kong.

About the programme

CityU has been a teaching partner in the Omnium Global Executive MBA programme hosted by the Rotman School of Management since 2005. The programme provides an 18-month international learning experience which immerses working professionals in core business disciplines from a global perspective.
