Accountancy students receive Silver Prize in HK4As Students’ Award

Two students from the Department of Accountancy, Fion Chin On-ki and Cindy Fung Sin-ting, joined up with two other students from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, to create an award-winning advertisement, 陪伴 (companionship), an intriguing story talking about parent-child relationship, and raises awareness about addictive use of mobile phones. The team was awarded Silver Prize in the HK4As Students’ Award, an advertising competition organized by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of Hong Kong (HK4As).

This year, the participating students were asked to generate an advertisement or advertising campaign based on the theme “Moderate Use of Mobile Phone”. There were 135 entries submitted by students from 16 educational institutions in Hong Kong.

Fion said, "We hope that people can reflect on their habits of using mobile phones through our video. Instead of always on their phones, people can spend more quality time with their families, and have warm interactions with them."

Since its establishment in 1990, the annual HK4As Students’ Award is designed to encourage and nurture young, aspiring talents to join the advertising industry. The event is part of the HK4As’ Kam Fan Awards, which recognizes outstanding ad projects in the market every year. It is perceived as one of the largest advertising awards in Asia.
