Doing business in global context - study tour to Qingdao

The College’s two undergraduate programmes - BBA Global Business and BSc Computational Finance visited Qingdao, China from 27th – 30th December 2017.

The group consisted of 24 first and second year students, led by Dr Maggie Dong, Associate Professor and Global Business Programme Leader, and Mr Hon-wing Leung, Deputy Programme Leader of both programmes.

In the trip, the group visited Ocean University of China and had a fruitful conversation with the faculty and student representatives from its International Student Club. The students also visited the factories of leading Chinese corporates Haier and Hisense, and learned about their operation models and the companies’ recent developments.

The College would like to thank our alumnus Wilson Chung Kwok-yi for his generous sponsorship to support this study tour. Mr Chung graduated from the MBA programme at CityU and is currently the Chairman of CityU Beijing Alumni Association. He is a staunch supporter of the College and the University.
