DBA welcoming dinner and awards ceremony

The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme successfully held its 2015 New Cohort Welcoming Dinner and 2014/2015 DBA Awards Presentation at Academic 3 on 19th September.

Over 60 Learning Partners (LPs) attended the event. Prof Way Kuo, President of CityU, welcomed the new LPs and shared the good news of CityU’s new rankings on the QS World University Rankings 2015/16; CityU has raised 51 places from last year to 57th among universities worldwide. Prof Houmin Yan, Dean of the College of Business, made encouraging remarks on the strengths and achievements of CB. Prof Muammer Ozer, Programme Director of DBA, welcomed the new Cohort of 17 internationally diversified LPs. He also thanked the previous cohorts and graduates for joining the event.

Another highlight of the evening was the DBA awards presentation by Prof Kuo. Dr Xueping Wu, Associate Programme Director of DBA, gave an introduction of the awards prior to the ceremony.

Mr Wilson Ng, Cohort 2015, spiced up the dinner by giving a professional flute performance!  Everyone enjoyed this cross-cohort networking event.

We hope to see more DBA participants and graduates in our coming events when the DBA programme celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2016.
