Selection Criteria for Postgraduate Students

Successful applicants must demonstrate good interpersonal skills, the ability to study in an overseas environment, and enthusiasm to be an ambassador of Hong Kong and CityUHK. Priority will be given to applicants who have satisfactory IELTS or TOEFL scores on or before 22 December 2024. In addition, applicants must:

  • At least completed one year of study in the taught postgraduate programme before commencing the exchange programme
  • Meet the admission requirements of the host university (e.g. GPA, language, etc)
  • Fulfill the following English language requirement: a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based)/213 (Computer-based), or IELTS Band 6.5 or above (test date of the report should be after May 2023 (for Semester A exchange students) or October 2023 (for Semester B exchange students).
