When will be the study period?

  1. In the First Round Application, applicants may choose to study abroad in one semester (either Semester A or B) or year for an exchange programme.  Please check the duration of study in our “List of Universities”.
  2. In the Second Round Application, applicants can study abroad in Semester B only.
  3. Year 1 BBAU4* or BSCCBU4* applicants (not for applicants whose major are Global Business or Global Business Systems Management) are recommended to apply in the first round (Nov) to study abroad twice for two exchange programmes on 2B+3B Double Exchange if students’ academic merit can be achieved in the first exchange study.  In this connection, each student may have chance to study abroad twice, i.e. Year 2 Semester B and Year 3 Semester B but not any other period.
  4. Applicants whose major are Global Business or Global Business Systems Management may choose to study abroad twice in the same or different academic year to fulfill their graduation requirement and are not applicable to the above double exchange scheme. If students plan to study abroad in the same academic year, they should apply for the first exchange (e.g. Semester A) in College Level Exchange Programme and the second exchange (e.g. Semester B) in the Institutional Level Exchange Programme and finally accept two offers.
  5. BBAU4/BSCCBU4 students who study four-year programmes in CityUHK are not eligible to study abroad in their final semester.
  6. As the academic calendar of the host university may be different with CityUHK, students should check the start of classes in the homepage of their target universities and arrive at least one week in advance to attend the compulsory orientation programmes.

*BBAU4 applicants refer to students who are studying 4-year programme of Bachelor of Business Administration
