Application Procedures
To join the exchange programme at the College of Business, you must first check whether your home university is one of our exchange partner institutions. You will receive an email invitation to our online application system once you have been nominated by our partner institution.

The below table summarizes the required documents for your exchange application.

Mandatory Core Documents (Required for ALL Applicants)
- ID995A Visa Application Form: Complete, sign, and upload pages 1, 2, 3, and 4. You must sign the bottom of each page.
- Travel Passport: A clear color copy of your passport data page (showing personal details, photo, and signature).
- Financial Proof: A clear color scan of a bank statement, savings passbook (with cover), or bank letter belonging to you or your sponsor.

Requirements: Must show the account holder’s name, bank logo, and a balance of at least HK$35,000 per semester (or equivalent). Non-English/Chinese documents require a certified translation.
- Administrative Fee: A completed College of Business Visa Administrative Fee & Payment Form.
- Academic Transcript: An official transcript in English. If the original is in another language, upload both the original and a certified English translation.
- Application Checklist: A scanned copy of this completed checklist with your submitted items marked.
- Digital Photo: One recent passport-style photo (JPG format preferred) uploaded as a separate file.

Additional & Conditional Documents (Based on Situation)
- Mainland China Applicants: Color copy of Mainland ID (both sides) and a signed Declaration Form.
- Taiwan Applicants: Color copy of Taiwan ID (both sides), Census Record (戶籍謄本), and Household Registration Record (戶口名簿).
- Hong Kong ID Holders: Color copy of your HKID.
- Studying Abroad: If studying outside your home country, a copy of your current student visa or residence permit.
- Legal Name Change: A certified copy of the official name change certificate in English or Chinese.
- Using a Financial Sponsor: A signed financial sponsor’s declaration form and a copy of the sponsor's passport.
- Postgraduate (PG) Applicants: An updated CV/Resume, plus BOTH your undergraduate and postgraduate academic transcripts.
- English Not the Medium of Instruction: A scanned copy of your TOEFL, IELTS, CET, or GMAT score report (or other official English supporting letters/documents).

| 2. Course Pre-selection |
Please refer to the tentative course offered list of Semester A and Semester B before making your course plan. Be reminded to consult your academic advisor at your home institution for approval and credit transfer requirements. |
| 2. CityUHK Student Residence |
Please note that accommodation at CityUHK Student Residence is not guaranteed. Allocation shall be subject to availability, through a random balloting system.
Undergraduate exchange students will be given a link within the online application system to apply for CityUHK student residence. If you have medical or special reasons to apply for the limited number of single rooms, please be reminded to submit documentary proof such as medical certificate along with the application.
Due to great demand in residential places, the University does not provide housing to postgraduate exchange students. |
