Application Procedures

To join the exchange programme at the College of Business, you must first check whether your home university is one of our exchange partner institutions. You will receive an email invitation to our online application system once you have been nominated by our partner institution.

Application deadline for exchange students

12 May (for study in Semester A)
12 October (for study in Semester B)

Exchange Application

The below table summarizes the required documents for your exchange application.

1. Online Application System	You must complete the entire online application form and upload a scan copy for the following listed supporting documents: Passport-size photo Color copy of Travel Passport containing personal data, photo and signature Proof of Financial Support in English or Chinese A color copy of your bank statement/savings account passbook (including the cover page)/bank letter stating the current balance OR A color copy of sponsor’s bank statement/savings account passbook (including the cover page)/bank letter stating the current balance, PLUS the completed “Financial Sponsorship Declaration” signed by your sponsor AND a color scan copy of the sponsor’s travel passport containing personal data, photo and signature English Proficiency Test Report if English is not the official teaching medium at your home institution Official Academic Transcript in English (if you are applying for postgraduate level, please include BOTH undergraduate and postgraduate transcripts) Official translation of academic transcripts (if original transcript is not in English) Curriculum Vitae/Resume (for postgraduate student) Color copy of your Hong Kong Identity Card (if any)
2. CityU Student Residence	Please note that accommodation at CityU Student Residence is not guaranteed. Allocation shall be subject to availability, through a random balloting system. Undergraduate exchange students will be given a link within the online application system to apply for CityU student residence. If you have medical or special reasons to apply for the limited number of single rooms, please be reminded to submit documentary proof such as medical certificate along with the application. Due to great demand in residential places, the University does not provide housing to postgraduate exchange students.
3. Documents required by courier/post	You must submit the following original and signed documents by courier or registered mail on or before application deadline: Complete and sign at the bottom of pages 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the ID995A “Application for Entry for Study in Hong Kong” If you have changed your name before, please provide a certified copy for the official used name in the application. The certified copy must be written in either English or Chinese Affix 1 passport-size photo onto page 2 of the ID995A College of Business Visa Administrative Fee & Payment Form All Mainland applicants must provide a color copy of Mainland ID Card (front & back side) & a completed declaration form All Taiwan applicants must provide a color copy of Taiwan Identity Card (front & back side) TOGETHER with a copy of Taiwan Census Record (戶籍謄本) AND Household Registration Record (戶口名簿)

2. CityU Student Residence

Undergraduate exchange students will be given a link within the online application system to apply for CityU student residence. If you have medical or special reasons to apply for the limited number of single rooms, please be reminded to submit documentary proof such as medical certificate along with the application.
