CB holds seminar for International MBA students from Sogang University, Korea


Further to the successful collaboration of the 2014 Winter SEMBA Global Programme in January 2015, the Executive Education Unit of the College of Business and Sogang University co-organized a 2-day intensive programme as part of the 2015 Summer Global Seminar offered by SBS in Hong Kong from 6th to 10th July.

35 international MBA students from Sogang Business School (SBS) at Sogang University in Korea, attended a short term executive training programme at CityU on 7th and 8th July.  

The programme aimed to deepen students’ understanding on the Hong Kong market and business culture. The participants were senior students with several years of working experience in various industries.

Dr Reuben Mondejar, Associate Professor of the Department of Management, opened the seminar exploring the concept of creativity and methods to adapt to the global culture.

Prof Julie Li, Associate Dean of the College, introduced a unique way of doing business in China and the challenges of market in recent years.

Dr Wilson Chan, Assistant Director of the MBA Programme, delivered an interactive lecture on Global Market Development, its impact on the financial market of Hong Kong, and the RMB business development and Offshore Centre.

Mr Andrew Jones, Sales Director of North Asia, Thomson Reuters, and Mr Benny Luk, Regional CEO of North Asia, ICAP (HK) Ltd, presented two inspiring talks on Thomson Reuters’ Insights on the Chinese Market/RMB Business and ICAP’s Operation in the Financial Market, respectively.
