EMBA Chinese programme hosts executive training

The Executive Master of Business Administration (Chinese) (EMBA (Chinese)) programme organized a two-day intensive training programme from 2nd to 3rd July 2015 at the CityU campus.

Prof Wenyu Dou, Programme Director of the EMBA (Chinese) programme and Associate Dean of the College, led the students through a series of site visits and guest forums.


Dr Allen Lee Peng-fei, CBE, JP and Adjunct Professor of the College, shared his thoughts on the new business environment of Hong Kong to the students. The Honourable Allen Lee was a senior unofficial member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong from 1988-1992 and a deputy to the National People’s Congress in late 1997.

The EMBA students also attended the City Seminar during their stay. Prof Guanrong Chen, Director of the Centre for Chaos and Complex Networks and Chair Professor of the Department of Electronic Engineering, shared with them issues relating to complex networks in everyday life.  

In addition to the site visits to the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited and Worldwide Flight Services, the students were also invited to the networking sessions with EMBA and DBA graduates Dr Eric Su, General Manager in Engineering of Hongkong International Terminals Limited, and Dr Haywood Cheung, Permanent Honorary President and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of The Chinese Gold & Silver Exchange Society. They exchanged viewpoints on the development and trends of Hong Kong’s finance, logistics, and service industries.
