[Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talk Series] From Corporate to Tech-for-Good: Building a Pet Tech Startup from Idea to Global Launch by Ms. Eugene Siu

The Department of Management at City University of Hong Kong was pleased to welcome Ms. Eugene Siu, Co-founder & CEO of Petalife, for the second session of our 2025-2026 Innovation & Entrepreneurship Talk Series on September 29, 2025. This engaging event was made possible through our continued collaboration with HK Tech 300.

Ms. Siu delivered a compelling presentation on her transition from corporate management to founding Petalife, a company developing AI-based health monitoring tools for early pet disease detection. She outlined three key entrepreneurial strategies: aligning personal passions with market needs, leveraging individual capabilities and resources strategically, and embracing flexibility through rapid experimentation and user feedback.

The session featured excellent audience participation, with students actively contributing to a stimulating question-and-answer segment. Thoughtful questions regarding product development, market positioning, and scaling challenges prompted insightful discussions that benefited all in attendance.
