[Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talk Series] Technology to Drive Agriculture Revolution by Mr. Gordon Tam

The Department of Management at City University of Hong Kong warmly hosted Mr. Gordon Tam, Founder and CEO of Farm66, as the guest speaker for the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Talk Series. Mr. Tam focused on how Farm66 is redefining urban farming and reshaping the agriculture industry.

Mr. Tam opened by diving into Farm66’s development, noting the company started with a small Hong Kong lab in 2013, secured its first patent the following year, and later expanded to a large agri-tech park in Dongguan. Throughout his sharing, he repeatedly emphasized the power of combining technology with agriculture—explaining that this integration has created new industry models, making farming more efficient and less challenging than traditional methods. He also mentioned key milestones, such as supplying local retailers, winning entrepreneurship awards, earning international recognition, and exporting products to multiple regions.

We extend sincere gratitude to Mr. Tam for sharing his journey and insights. His focus on tech-agriculture synergy offered students valuable perspectives on agritech innovation and resilient entrepreneurship.
