Dr. Jih-Chu Lee is Vice Chairperson of Shin Kong Financial Holdings and Shin Kong Life in Taiwan. She has been seasoned by years of service in different capacities across the academic, political, and financial spheres. She has been a professor of economics at National Chengchi University, a recipient of the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Award, a visiting research scholar at Harvard University and Stanford University, and a visiting professor at Peking University and Tsinghua University.

Dr. Lee was a Cabinet member, serving as Vice Chairman of the Financial Supervisory Commission and Chairman of the National Youth Commission, and a legislator in the Legislative Yuan. She was awarded a First Merit Medal by the government for her extraordinary contributions and the first female Eisenhower Fellow in Taiwan. Thereafter, Dr. Lee switched careers, serving first as Chairman of Chunghwa Post Co., and later as Chairman of Taiwan Financial Holdings and the Bank of Taiwan, and Chairman of the Bankers Association of ROC concurrently. 

Dr. Lee also sat on the board of directors of a variety of government agencies and listed companies, including the Straits Exchange Foundation, the Taiwan-Hong Kong Economic and Cultural Co-operation Council, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, the Taiwan Stock Exchange, the Taiwan Futures Exchange, Chunghwa Telecom, and Mega Financial Holding Co., among others.

Dr. Lee was a recipient of the Top Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award of the world and in Taiwan. She was also granted the World Star of Volunteer Service by the Points of Light Foundation for her long-term dedication and commitment.
