Achievements

CB students excelled in the WISE Friends Competition 2015 hosted by BBPOS Limited. The competition aimed at cultivating the creativity of students and bringing innovative ideas to the mobile payment industry. Participants were asked to create an app for merchants that would serve as a payment application on the BBPOS WisePOS device.

 

The awards presentation ceremony was held in December 2015. Dr Terence Cheung, Assistant Professor, and Ms Tania Lau, Instructor I, of the Department of Information Systems, were invited to be the Guests of Honours to present prizes to awardees.

Nora Gan from the Team POSfinder, said, “It was our first time to design and develop an app on our own. The process was full of challenges, and we valued this opportunity to learn something different, especially in computer programming and system development.”
