Organised by the Business Proposal and Competition Club (BPCC), a student society under the College of Business, and supported by Birdie Mobile, the CityU Case Competition 2019/20 ended on a good note on 25 April. In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, the competition was conducted online.

The CityU Case Competition aims to bring together students at CityU to investigate and analyse real-life business cases for corporations. By joining the competition, students can improve their teamwork skills, analytical competence, problem-solving ability, and presentation skills, etc.

This year, 217 students from 58 teams entered the competition to work on a marketing campaign to raise awareness of Birdie among the public, especially the millennials. Participants were asked to conduct researches on telecommunication industry, and come up with a creative and feasible business plan for Birdie. They also needed to think about three social media posts and outline social media strategies for the company.
