CB organises online interview skills workshop at CityU Consultation Week
CityU held the 2020 JUPAS Consultation Week online between 25 to 30 May. Secondary school students can learn about CityU’s JUPAS programmes and learning environment while staying at home. During the Consultation Week, the College of Business and its six departments conducted close to 30 live sessions of admissions consultation and alumni sharing.
Highlights of the Consultation Week include a Facebook live interview skills workshop on 28 May hosted by Chinese Linguist & TV Host Dr Benjamin Au Yeung (Ben Sir). Ben Sir is a famous scholar-turned-celebrity in Hong Kong who was a senior lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s Department of Chinese Language and Literature.
In the workshop, Ben Sir shared tips for acing a university’s admissions interview. Through a role play, he demonstrated the Do’s and Don’ts in an interview. He said, “It is important to be humble and show your willingness to learn.” In addition, Ben Sir talked about some common interview questions and gave practical tips to produce a good self-introduction video.
Over 3600 netizens viewed the Facebook video and some of them asked questions in the live Q&A session.
