Alumni Sharing and Network Event 2023 for BSc Computational Finance and Financial Technology Students
A networking event was organized on 17 November 2023, specifically for students pursuing the BSc in Computational Finance and Financial Technology (CFFT). The event provided an opportunity for CFFT students from different streams and different academic years to come together and connect with seniors, alumni, and professors in a relaxed and informal setting.
The event was a great success, thanks to the valuable contributions of the programme leader Professor Li Tao, CFFT professors, alumni, and students. Their willingness to share their experiences and insights greatly enhanced the event and created a positive and enriching atmosphere. The CFFT students had a wonderful time interacting with one another, making new connections, and gaining valuable knowledge from those who have already embarked on their professional journeys.
CFFT students appreciated the great networking opportunity offered by the event. Derek Fung, CFFT student, said, "The event was a great chance to interact with alumni from different fields. Their insights were invaluable and will guide me in my future career decisions."
Another CFFT student Anthony Kung said, "I had a fantastic time catching up with fellow CFFT students at the event. The food and drink were a major attraction for me and my friends, making it a fun and memorable way to share a meal and get to know each other better." Ken Tse said, "It was a pleasure to see so many fellow students, alumni, and professors joining the event. Their presence was inspiring, and their stories and experiences were enlightening and motivating."
