Biography

Dr. Wang is an Adjunct Professor of Department of Economics and Finance at City University of Hong Kong. He is also a partner and portfolio manager at Lotus Asset Management Limited, an asset management company licensed in Hong Kong. He has previously worked in various senior roles at investment banks such as Citigroup, Standard Chartered Bank, and Barclays in Hong Kong and Singapore and has overseen the investment management functions for multi-billion dollar portfolios in multi asset classes. He has also gained extensive experience in pricing, structuring, and trading for various exotic derivatives and hybrid structured products. Prior to joining the industry, he was an assistant professor in finance at the Singapore Management University, and focused on the research areas of asset pricing, quantitative investment, macro strategy, derivatives and structured products, and risk management.

Dr. Wang holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania, a M.S. in Statistics from University of Maryland, and a B.S. in Mathematics from Fudan University.
