With a view to addressing different advanced learning needs, as well as to enhancing undergraduate admission quality and the branding, the University has encouraged academic units to develop CityU Talents Programme.
A tale of two cities: Two degrees in four years
1. What is preregistration?
In your first year you will be automatically assigned with BBA core courses, and GE English or an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course. For other GE courses or CHIN1001, you will need to add the appropriate courses during the add/drop period.
2. How do I do Add/Drop courses?
You can adjust your timetable via AIMS during the add/drop period of the semester through the on-line add/drop system, which is a real-time dynamic system. Please visit the ARRO website for details of the add/drop procedure.
3. What are the maximum and minimum Credit-Unit Loads?
According to university regulations, full-time students must register for courses (excepting the Summer Term) for between 12 credit units and 18 credit units. You are advised NOT to overload yourselves in your first year to ensure smooth progression of studies. In Summer Term, you may register for courses up to 7 credit units.
4. What is the Dean's List?
If you have earned 12 credit units or more, with a minimum GPA of 3.7 and no failures over a semester, you can be recommended for the Dean’s List. If you achieve the Dean’s List, this will be recorded on your transcript.
